David Butler

David Butler was born in 1930 in Macon, Georgia and grew up in Sanford, Florida. He played baseball in the Negro leagues as a short stop. His father was a blues pianist in the same neighborhood that Ray Charles grew up as boy. David has clung tightly to the old blues of his father’s generation.
