Kever’s Long House Singers

The Kever’s Long House Singers are Pura Fe, Mark Deese and Dave Locklear of Robeson County, North Carolina. They are also known as the Deer Clan Singers and are Tuscarora Indians, the most Southern band of the Iroquois. These ancient songs are sung North and South by Iroquois and Tutelo, “People of the Long House,” but it is in the South where the intriguing harmonies are found.
