SLIDESHOW: Terry “Harmonica” Bean at Music Maker Studios

Last month’s whirlwind recording session continued as we welcomed the great Terry “Harmonica” Bean to Music Maker Studios! Terry’s previous Music Maker album, Drop Dead In Front Of Your Door (2024), was a field recording cut in the living room of his very own Pontotoc, MS home. We were thrilled to bring this Hill Country legend to Fountain, NC to record his next one – his first visit to our new studio.

Born and raised in the heart of Mississippi’s Hill Country, Terry is the real deal. He discovered his love for the blues at a young age, growing up immersed in the region’s rich musical heritage thanks to his father and grandfather. After a motorcycle accident at age 20 left him unable to continue his promising baseball career, Terry turned his full attention to the blues. He began playing in the local music scene while working a day job at a factory – and has since gone on to perform at some of the world’s premier music festivals from Chicago to Switzerland.

With his virtuosic harmonica playing, soul-stirring vocals, and captivating stage presence, Terry continues to carry the torch of the Hill Country blues. Look for his next album in 2027 from Music Maker!
