SLIDESHOW: A Night at the Big Blues Show
“When the big blues show is coming to your town/Get there early, don’t mess around.”
Houston bluesman Leonard “Lowdown” Brown must have been talking directly to music lovers in Cary, NC when he sang these lines on his latest album Street Party. We had a phenomenal time at the Big Blues Show last month – Music Maker’s first show at Cary Arts Center, and a nearly sold-out one at that!
On April 24, 2026, the main stage at Cary Arts transformed into a rockin’ blues club as Leonard and The Crimestoppers took the stage with Jimbo Mathus and his Creatures of the Southern Wild for an evening of truly world-class roots music. Whether you made it to the show or cheered them on from afar, relive the excitement in this slideshow of photos from the Big Blues Show, taken by Music Maker co-founder Tim Duffy.
Many thank to the wonderful team at Cary Arts Center for inviting our artists to perform. We hope to come back soon!
