SLIDESHOW: Alice Vines at Music Maker Studios
New year, new albums to record! We recently kicked off our 2026 recording year at Music Maker Studios with the great Alice Vines from January 12-14.
A member of the NC Heritage Award-winning sacred soul group The Glorifying Vines Sisters, Alice is a singer and pastor in nearby Farmville, NC. She is also the sister of late luthier Freeman Vines (Hanging Tree Guitars), and spent much of the last several years assisting with his care.
Alice has been a fixture at Music Maker Studios since its opening in 2024, performing at its official dedication and frequently attending recording sessions – but this was her first time stepping into the studio to record her own album.
Here’s a peek behind the scenes, featuring Jimbo Mathus and the Creatures of the Southern Wild. Look for Alice’s new album in 2027!
