SLIDESHOW: Kirk Bowie Russell at Music Maker Studios
As a member of Jimbo Mathus‘ versatile Creatures of the Southern Wild, Kirk Bowie Russell (Muscle Shoals, AL) has been involved in many recording sessions at Music Maker Studios in Fountain, NC. You can hear him on nearly all of our recent studio albums, playing guitar and drums on everything from old-school blues and R&B to honky-tonk and gospel.
Now, he is finally getting his turn in the spotlight – and we couldn’t be more excited.
Last month, we returned to Music Maker Studios for back-to-back recording sessions with Kirk and Terry “Harmonica” Bean. Take a peek behind the scenes at Kirk’s session in this week’s slideshow, featuring photos by Tim Duffy.
